I've been using Garmins for years and like them. I've been using a Garmin Oregon 450t for about 2 years now, my main use is for Geocaching. Great machine.

Got the 450T to replace a Vista eTrex I lost and it works quite well. I noticed it consumes the batteries much faster than the Vista. However, it has a much larger screen and the touch feature makes easier to navigate the maps and features. Cabellas was running a promo on it for less than $300 not long ago. Might still be going on.

The REI site says only the 450 will operate with a Mac, but the Garmin site doesn't say one way or another.

Anyone with a 550/600/650 using a Mac? Can you download maps and move them to the GPS?
