AEV is a Magnuson Style supercharger which give majority of power and torque on bottom end vs the Ripp is oriented towards middle to upper RPMs. That's why the AEV interests me.

I'd guess it'll be a much more aerodynamic design. It'll look like a 21st century Jeep.

I can easily see a diesel option, along with the 8 speed transmissions with the manuals likely going away completely. Probably going to have a lot more plastic and aluminum and less steel as these things are just way too heavy in stock form.

Purist ideals just never beats economic realities in the auto world.
Yeah sadly since the Jeep is not the military choice anymore, I foresee plastic and non durable materials being put on it.

I've never been to Appleton so I'd like to tentatively say I'm in! Any other details about the run yet?

Yup, SidCo 4x4 in Glencoe. I'm not sure I'd bring the Mustang there as he seemed to be off-road specific.

Well I'm going to need to look for another place to mount my CB. It doesn't fit over my mirror like I was hoping it would. Under the steering wheel, in front of the shifter, and on the driver's side of the console are out too. I'm going to try to check the passenger side with someone other than me in there to see how they like it.
