Minnesota's ramble on and on thread.
I highly suggest getting the hardware kit from Northridge for the front and rear TBs and the LCAs. It's only $45 if I recall. Big difference in ride quality IMO. Everything just feels a lot more solid. I didn't have any DW issues previous, but they say an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
First weekend in March would work for me for Appleton. Avoid the overlap with hoops tourneys, but puts the crunch on to get some mods done before then, haha.
On that note too...is anyone using the Cobra 75WXST cb? I need to address the comm issue before the big SD trip and any feedback would be appreciated or if there is another unit you run that you like. I guess I just liked the compactness of the 75WXST unit having all the controls on the handset.

Just use a SWR meter to tune it in beforehand and a good ground.

SWR not SWE my bad!!!
Ok after you install the CB and run the CB antennae wire back to antennae. You connect a ground wire on bottom of antenne screw to a good ground . "not always needed"
Then it's recommended to get a fire stick antenne or similar that has a tuning screw on the end of it.
Then screw the SWR meter inline right after the cb end of the system and basically "tune" you antenne length on the other end into range
After you get it adjusted you unscrew the SWR meter and your done
Good basic meter is $30.00
