I have an open seat if you want to ride with us. I am not far from the Chicago area. I am in NW Indiana. You could ride down with us if you want or just drive to the badlands and then ride with us there on the trails. Just let me know.

Also, my 6 and 8 yr old boys want to join me...any other kids coming? How long can they handle wheelin reasonably? Half Day? Looking forward to gettin out there!

The first time I took my youngest son on a Jeep trip he was 9, we went on an overnight two day run of Land Between the Lakes KY - very beautiful place. Stayed in a cabin, taught him not to try to approach black bear cubs (after he already tried), and he was hooked on offroad from then on. He is now 16 and wants to lift and tire the ZJ so he can "drive" when we go out. I see a future JK owner in the making. I would be sure to bring stuff to keep their attention (books, Ipod, etc.) and snacks, as I found that some of the wait time to check the trails, or help someone thru a tough spot can get "boring" for kids.......

Great advice. You are right Gameboy and a cooler full of snacks and we should be good to go. Thanks for the feedback!

I have an almost stock Sahara also so I know there will be some places I wont go to avoid carnage. I'm hoping I don't get bored.
Bring along a camera your boys can use also. Have them take as many pics as they can. That might keep them interested for a while. If they are like my boys were, they'll be fighting over the camera.
