Has there been a plan of attack put together yet???? when are we leaving? where are we staying? etc...
I am assuming we are leaving on the 30th??? we had talked about a camp ground down there,, has this been confirmed?? do we have to reserve for ourselves, or are we gonna do a group thing???

What say you oh great leader Derek??? what,where,when,how............

Just to let you guys know,,, I am planning on trailering down... that way if someone does break down, we have a way to get them home....... Just an insurance policy... ( remember Badlands last Aug.??? )

I will definitely lead a group. I know this place better than the Badlands. There is still a lot of trail I haven't hit though.

They have cabins, camping, rv spots and it is super close to the trailhead/Snack Shack. I haven't stayed there, but I have heard great things. I will be staying at my in-laws and probably be down there a few days before to visit ahead of time, but will plan to hang out with you all at the campgrounds.

Ok guys.... Derek is going down a few days earlier than we are, so lets put a plan together....
Who is a for sure thing? (as best as you can tell right now)
When would everybody like to head down??? Thursday? Friday??
Does everybody want to camp??? I know when I called down there earlier this year, the cabins were close but not beside the tent camping, and they did not allow tent camping around the cabins...
So,,, what does everybody want to do????? I have a nice tent and an air mattress so I'm good to go...
This will be an awsome run and I for one can't wait!!!! Lets get an early start on the planning so we can be ready to go when the time comes.......

And like I said before,,, I am going to pull my jeep down on my trailer just in case one of us has a problem, hopefully we won't need it!!!!

The Chicago peps could try to meet up with the Fort Wayne area guys. It is basically a straight shot down I75. I am not sure where you all would meet up, but Indy would be a decent starting point.

One thing is for sure, this trip is well worth the drive. The trails are rated easy/moderate/difficult. I have run the moderate trails the first few times and stepped it up the last time I went to difficult trails. The moderate trails are doable for almost any Jeep. The difficult are a bit more technical, but a ton of fun.

Let me know what I can do as far as info needed or anything else to make this run a success.

Hey Derek,

Glad to see yall heading down this way. I'd love to come out and join yall. Just moved about 30-35mins from the park. I'd be glad to show ya around any trails you might not have tried yet. Either way just let me know if you care that I tag along. I'd love to see your rig. I still remember that wonderfully sloppy day back when you were still on your SRA's.. lol
