Yep, what he said. There's been precious few genuine "assault rifles" or machine guns in this thread. Most are just semi-automatic rifles and carbines.

What's the tax stamp price for a suppressor? I want to get a Sparrow for my 10/22 TD.

$200 per for SBRs, suppressors, etc. Check or MO to BATF.

A few vendors offer to cover your stamp if you buy a suppressor from them. I've only seen this on pricier cans, above $1k.

If you're looking at a Sparrow, I'd check out Huntertown Arms. The Guardian and Guardian stainless are both under $200 and just as good as the sparrow IMO. I just got the Guardian stainless for my mkii fv-sr.

Do you have to shoot subsonic ammo with a .22lr suppressor?

Definitely not. The only ''must" with a 22 can is that it be user serviceable (IMO).
