short answer: yes.

after living abroad for a while now (also as a civilian), the mentality of the people in the US is much different. The mental disconnect between humanity and reality is severe in the US, almost like a 3rd world country, but for what reason...I dunno. The problems (read: people) are no where near as bad off as some places in the world, but have no regard for life and liberty. This is something the very young country of the US has fought with since the beginning. The children (problem ones) respect less and less and feel entitled to everything. Our criminals aren't threatened to be better by anything, they are coddled and will only get worse. Its a cutltural problem in the US. It's disturbing how our US children are growing up with no value, no moral code. Que the great liberals for taking away values of any kind from the schools. good job

I built a bracket out ot 1" flat bar that I secured to the driver side of the center console, by getting longer screws and putting them where the 2 screws are on the side of the console. Then I put a kydex holster and fatened it to the bar with 2 more small screws. It works great, but you still have to take it with you or lock it up when you get out, but it is a really quick draw!

At one time on here a guy had used his cheap holster that came with his XD and attached it to the center console by your knee and it went to just before where the end of the gear selector is closest to you, it had an angle in it and the holster fit right in there.

I keep the gun on me (permit). I don't want to get carjacked, in this case jeepjacked, and not have my gun with me. I keep thinking about the Tuffy console to put it in when I go places I can't carry, like places that it is illegal to carry, like schools, Post Office, etc.

I'm not a big fan of carrying off my person, but will on occasion if on a long trip and it is bothering me, which usually isn't the case.

How well does it fit underneath the seat in a JK? Is the install pretty simple?

I pack a 40 cal. ruger. I bought a rigid clip in holster and screwed it to the back inside panel of the center console with the grip faceing away from me it is very comfertable to retrieve in a hurry and its lockable.

You might choose to be afraid of some Jeepers here in Canada, too. There are handgun/rifle/shotgun owners among us!

And heck, London is that unsafe in areas...
