A Journey into Stupidity
Our cars are stuck.
I probably should have seen this coming, with the snow and all, but *I* have a Jeep! They never get stuck. I keep telling myself this over and over again as I'm trying to push the jeep out of the driveway and it's sliding sideways.
This never happened with my JK. I would hit the locker button and it would be unstuck. In fact, the only time that Jeep ever became stuck was because I high centered it on a boulder the size of a smart car on the Rubicon Trail. That doesn't quite compare to the measly 4 inches of snow that is crippling my beastly CJ-7 now.
Thirty minutes and 1000 calories worth of pushing later, I find myself sliding around the road wondering why it handles so poorly in the snow. This Jeep was built for mud and snow and I've obviously been duped into buying a lemon.
I finally get the kids to school and as I'm chatting with a fellow Jeeper in the parking lot about my Jeep's poor performance, he asks a question that will now be engrained in my mind forever:
"Did you lock your hubs?"
Shit.

I did the same a few days after buying my lifted Bronco. I tried going through a small oil road and couldn't figure why I wasn't throwing decent mud up with front tires or even turning. When we all got back to work, someone later asked if my hubs were locked and I was like
