Not a deal, you got a steal.

I have been hunting a TJ here in OK for under 5K, and all I can find is junk.

Little red TJ has 153k on her. The guy before me put on a 2 inch lift and didnt hook the sway bar back up and never got it lined up so it ate up the front tires in a hurry. He thought it was a bigger problem than it really is. The TJ has a few minor issues, but nothing I cant fix real easy. I'm going to do things a little backwards and fix the TJ for daily use and build myself one bad JK for the trails. What do you guys think?

it should be the other way around. The JK is more comfortable than the tj. Drive the JK, build the TJ. Plus parts are cheaper for the tj

I'm thinking that the JK is going to be around here for a long time. I want to put alot of money and time building the perfect rig or at least my perfect rig that I will enjoy for years to come. Once I get the JK built to my specs in a few years, then I will sell the TJ and get a new jeep, whatever it is by then JK or newer. Then I will have a brand new ride and a bad JK to wheel.

A Hemi swap and Dana 60's for the JK means I get to upgrade the TJ with the factory stuff from the JK. Spend my money on one toy and upgrade two toys.
Any ideas out there?
