Default How may Jeep vacations in a year?

This is 800 plus mile drives (or major events) to go to offroad destinations (Rubicon, Moab, Colorado, Jeep events or Jamboree etc). I usually do 2-3 a year. Post your #'s and places. This year so far is Jeep Jamboree Llano Tx. (less than 800 miles) and Ouray CO. I want to go back Moab this year cause it been a few years. I think Rubicon Trail will be next year.

Default Vacation 2013

We made the maiden voyage for our 10a JKU. Just over 3000 miles from East Texas to several stops in Colorado. We did Mosquito Pass from Alma to Leadville, the Alpine Loop over Engineer Pass, to the top of Yankee Boy Basin out of Ouray, over Corkscrew Gulch from 550 to Silverton, and Ouray to Telluride over Imogene Pass. It was great fun.

I try and do at least one per year. In 2012 it was a trip from Calgary to Tucson via Moab and back up along the Pacific coast. Unfortunately this year is boring, just weekend trips to British Columbia. Next year will be Moab for a week.

Since we are in Utah we are a lot closer to most of the wheeling destinations so we have taken 6 jeepin trips this year and have 2 more planned before winter.

I am guessing I might get 1-2 jeepcations a year. We hit Ouray this year, which was awesome, and we are going to the beach later this month. But I am not sure the beach should really count as this will likely not involve much wheeling if any.. But it is a great chance to run topless & doors off.

Did the JK-Experience last year and we put 6,569 miles on for that trip going from So Cal all the way to Drummond Island, Michigan. Usually we do a Rubicon and Moab each year in addition to shorter trips. Would love to do more but vacation time and money tend to dictate what we can do.

I'm so jealous of y'all. When y'all go on jeepcations do you trailer your jeep or drive the jeep? I use my jeep as my dd. I couldn't imagine driving my driving my jeep 800+ mile getting around 12.5 mpg.

Drive it. We have an RV now but it isn't ready to tow yet. :/ still we love owning a rig we can drive to the trail, run the trail then drive home. Just hate the mpg but still worth it!
