Glad you guys posted in this thread recently, otherwise I would never have found it!!! Just ordered my Cool Mount! I was looking for a mounting solution & saw this kit included everything needed for mounting an antenna, including the antenna! It really is a great deal, when you add everything up from the Radio Shack run you have to make for the other JK mounts...

Cool! Agreed, thanks for old threads still hangin around. Was about to order another type of kit when I came across this. Just placed my order. Can't wait to get it installed. Since I'm relatively close by I'm hoping shipping only takes a couple days. I'm not going to complain about the 10 buck increase since originally posted in 06...but I had to comment!

Also ordered the quick disco!

Anybody who wheels his or her JK knows that the stock license plate bracket is one of the first things to get ripped off on the trail. It has happen to me and to many others. I have since relocated the license plate. But if you plan on doing a lot of offroading, I would recommend mounting your antenna on your tailgate, bumper, or tire carrier... less chance of getting damaged. Otherwise its ok to use

I´m not trying to bash Cool tech, they makes great products. I have several of their products. But, IMO the antenna mount is not 100% offroad-proof.

Totally going to buy one of these as soon as I find a CB. I'm almost ready to go with the Cobra 75, but I do want to see some normal CB boxes mounted. Has anybody tried to put it behind the center console, over those cup holders?
