My delivery took 4 days from California to Michigan. The install was really easy, the instructions were good too! I have to admit, I take my time with my baby, so it took me a little over 1 hour to do the installation. I didn't mind.

Here are some pics of what I did.

Thanks CoolTech for a great product!

I installed mine with the quick disconnect which works well. I used a 5/8 ID
O-ring around the base to totally seal off the inside of the plate housing.

I was having trouble tuning the antenna with the Cobra 75 until I totally removed the tuning screw. My SWR on channel 1 is 1.3, channel 19 is 1.5, and channel 40 is 1.8. I'll take that any day.

Thanks for the great product.

Chuck

I am looking to mount my Ham radio antenna the same way as your mount. I have a Yaesu ATAS 120 motorized tunable antenna that I wanna mount in the same location. I was just wondering if you can sell just the stainless mount and hardware??? Based on the carwash story I think that your mount would handle the wind load of a larger antenna. Thanks Chris

Great customer service? When you call their number, you get a recording EVERY time. Leave a message, no one returns a call. And I'm trying to purchase one. Just imagine if you had a problem.

This is a great product. I'm frustrated I can't buy one by phone.

I can tell you from personal experience that they have EXCEPTIONAL customer service. I ordered the mount and it was shipped out fast! When I got it, it appeared that the antenna has some buggered up threads (most likely from the manufacturer). I emailed them and got a response within an hour! They told me that they were sorry and that this antenna was a part of the kit that they outsourced and that they would send me a new one asap. Not only did they send me a new antenna but they sent me one of their Versa Mounts! There are alot of companies that could take customer service lessons from these Folks!.

I've left a couple of messages (one last Friday) since I first saw your posts here in January. Anyway, I will give you another try as I think this is a great product. I'm happy to see most people are very satisfied with Cool Tech.

What an ass I am.

The owner of Cool Tech has been trying to return my calls since my first message in January, but their number shows up as another name, NOT Cool Tech, so I didn't pick up the phone.

I'm now looking forward to getting my CB mount and have resolved to ANSWER THE PHONE when I'm waiting for a call.

Another victim of the caller ID and every telemarketer in the world having your number. Heck, between kids and telemarketers I don't pick up the phone until I hear the voice coming out of the machine and it's someone I know or want to talk to.
