Gotta have my junk tray!!

And of course it locks..!

I like that, but I tried that already and the raido is just a tad too big

I switched the radio over to the driver side and used the bolt already on the side console...I am a big guy so that radio limits my leg movement somewhat...A temporary fix...I believe eventually it will be mounted on the rear of the console..Probably my best option for the 2 Dr

Hey everyone, newbie here. First time posting. Thought I'd give it a try! I have a uniden 520xl I mounted above the mirror. It's out of the way and looks good. I added a plug behind the radio so I can remove it when I need to. I made a flat bracket out of aluminum to mount to the overhead plastic piece, then mounted the radio bracket to it. I left just enough room between the radio and winshield for the antena cable and wires.

Default Thanks for all the great replies

So I ended up mounting mine above the rearview mirror. I thought twice about running the screws through the plastic, but finally just did it and glad I did. It works great. I also bought a magnetic antenna from Radio Shack, ripped it apart and mounted it through my license plate holder to hide the wires. Looks pretty sharp. I will post some pics tonight.

Thanks for all of the great ideas.

Cheers

Mounted mine inside the console. Ran and external speaker and mounted it in the knee blocker lower pop off panel. I used an amplified speaker I bought from Passport that is used on the 9500CI. When you close the console the mic wire comes out the side nicely and the speaker is plenty loud and clear. Out of sight and works fine for me. The install is a little timely but turns out clean.Attachment 105008
