I dont know if this is available for the JK, but take a look.
I kept my Teraflex mounts off of my TJ when I sold it, hoping they would work on the JK.

I just put a Ham radio mount on my new JK. It is a license plate mount. (see photos bellow) Here is the vender I bought mine from GigaParts

I am searching for a location to mount the radio base unit. Under the seat looks like a good location but I’m concerned about water damage if I have to forge water on the trail. Is there room on the JK to mount behind the dash? or inside the bottom of the center console? My radio is an Icom IC-208H and the control panel can be remotely mounted. I intend on using a universal dashboard 3m mount for the control panel.

Ok, I finally decided to mount my HAM radio (Icom IC-208H) under the driver’s seat. It is above the water line and allow the speaker to bounce sound of the floor. Does anyone know the easiest route thru the firewall to the battery? Temporarily I am using a 12v adapter, but both Jeep and Icom strongly suggest wiring the radio direct to the battery.

Control panel can be remotely mounted. (my bug mount isn't in yet)

Front of main radio body under front driver's seat.

Rear of main body. Power cable is spooled until i figure out where to route it through the firewall.

i've read a few reviews...and from the looks of it...i'd say this is the product for me.

Any one figure out where to run the power wires through the firewall? I put the little "u" shaped bracket on the bolt on the bottom side of the shifter base. and have the CB right there on the side of the "hump". I used an 'L' shaped bracket to mount the antenna using the top side existing bolt on the tire carrier. I'll post pictures later...

Antenna mount bracket, looking through the hole in my rim...

Antenna mount from the side:

another side shot:

and for the CB...

here is the "U" bracket mounted...

and with the CB in place (this can be adjusted depending on what hole you run the side bolts thru...

Now, just have to find a hole in the Firewall..... any suggestions?

I actually worked with Rick at Arizona Rocky Road to get the measurements and fittings for the atenna mount. The pics he has posted are from my 2DR Rubi. I love the mount took like a minute to install and works great, not to mention it's only like 25.00 or so :toung:

mine was 10 bucks, and only had to drill 2 holes in it, it's actually called "Deluxe 3-Way Mirror Mount" from ProComm Model # JBC995. and mine runs up beside the brake light as well.

Question

I've never installed a cb before. Do you need to ground the antenna if you mount it behind the spare tire?
