CB Mount Location
I'm also going to dream something up and eventually post it.
I mounted my CB above the radio, it works great. I wired all of the wiring down into the dash behind the CB & it looks clean...you can't see any wiring. I even wired a PA speaker & remote speaker to it.
The only consideration you need to think about is that if you have a Rubicon (or a unit with an electronic compass) you'll need to remove the speaker from inside your CB.
Most CB's have the speaker on the bottom...well, as I learned the hard way...the magnet on the speaker throws off the JK's compass unit, which is mounted against the top of the plastic cover over the stereo. Basically, it's too close to the speaker magnet & I am assuming it's a magnetic compass.
So, I took out the CB speaker, mounted a remote speaker in front of the transfer case shifter, & it works like a champ. The compass is back to normal as well.
