Actually before I was searching for the power search I had my seats out to Herculine my floor boards and wish I would have taken some pictures. If I get some time tomorrow I'll see if I can get a picture. The seat belt sensor sensor is hooked up under the panels around the base of the belt. Just taking a peek under the seat basically all I'm seeing is a covered set of wires that comes from the side of the doorway, goes under the seat, 4 wires come out from the sleeve with a connector on the end that is hooked up to the bottom of the seat, then a ground wire from under the sleeve goes to a bolt under the seat, and the set of covered wires continues across and goes under the console. I'm really wondering if there are seat heat wires inside of this sleeve covering the wires? Also do all four wires connected to the seat belong to the airbag?

Default Don't notch out the fuse box!!

Your fuse box has a water tight seal. If you notch the box to get a wire in to
m8 or m9 you may get water it there. I'm sure that would void your warranty.

Gday from Sydney, Australia.

I've finally gathered all the bits and peices for my CB Radio install, a uniden UH015sx.

It's a remote head unit, so the guts of the radio will sit under a seat, whilst the display, control buttons and knobs and mic plug will sit just in front of the gear shit on the front of center console.

I've been reading all the write ups about different wiring jobs on radios and things... can any one point out which is the easiest "live" wire to tap into for 12V power??

I want to avoid running the power lead into the engine bay if possible, and would rather hook into power that is linked to 'accessories' on the ignition.

So far I think getting in behind the cigarette lighter is the way to go, but suggestions are wanted!

To my knowledge there is no "accessory" circuits in our jeeps, with maybe the exception of the radio. I have spent many hours looking for an accessory wire, but could not find one. Plenty of ignition sources tho.

A little dab of silicone will seal any hole made. Shouldn't be a problem if you seal it. If you happen to be a person who likes to play submarine then you might not want to be cutting holes there.
