I have not ordered it yet. I might try to cut out the back of the Tuffy so it can stay locked. I can make it fit, just hope I don't screw it up and end up out $240.00...lol

But isn't the tuffy too narrow, as well?

If you use the mounting screws that came with the CB, it kinda cocks a little inside due to the locking latch. If I cut out the back of the Tuffy to make room for the heat sink, it should not be a problem because I can move the CB back some to give the room that the locking latch needs. I will look at it CLOSELY when I get in this Wednesday. I would really like to lock it up while offshore. Tuffy said they would honor 30 days for return if I don't think I can get it to work. But I think it would work. Just a drill bit and jigsaw should do what I need to do.

Sorry about the dark pictures, only have a cell phone camera right now. I really don't think this was designed with a 2013 in mind. I ended up having to chop up the zip up cover for the bars and it looks like shit when the panels are off. That and it is pushing on some plastic trim on either side of the windshield. As far as clearance for the cooling fins, looks like it would work to me!

I never tried mine with the hard top. Man, I'm sorry it turned out "that" way!

I don't know if I wanna try it now. He wants me to get the measurements for him, and if I miss it, I'm stuck with a mount I can't use. I'm gonna bring my Tuffy to a friend of mine and see if we can get it to work. If not, Tuffy gave me a return #.

Just saw this https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-c...-271681/page2/

If you the hard top, you have to drill two additional holes in the jeep to move the bar so it doesn't interfere with the hard top.

Yeah on a hard top you can't use the guide pin holes for the panels. That would have been so much easier. You need to drill the holes to get it ahead of the dip in the freedom panels, but unfortunately far forward enough that it pushes on some plastic trim which is at each corner of the windshield.

Well, I finally got the Tuffy and my Galaxy installed today, BUT....the cross bar on my soft top closest to the windshield is sitting on top of the console box and causing wind noise....next is water...gonna work with it tomorrow and see what I can do to drop the front side to stop that. I cut out the rear so I can get my power cord and coax in and it does look good. Used the mount that the Galaxy came with to hold it steady. Took a lot of work but it's in.
