What is DRL's??
Hey racer, I see that you have the mygig. I got a couple I would like you to try if you don't mind.
1st. See if there is a way to make they DVD player work while driving. I know that there has been tons of discusion on it but nobody has had a scantool to try it.
2nd. See if you can change the headlight settings to EURO (i think that is what it is). It lets you use your high beams and your fogs stay on.
Thanks and if I can think of any others I will post them up.

There was another thread about the fog/highbeam issue. Set it to "export" I believe was the solution.

Yup, here it is:

Im very interested in the Starscan as ive been considering ordering a StarMobile to use myself.. im wanting to add such things as automatic lights, full EVIC, smartbeam, etc and wonder how the starscan part of it is done.. my dealer wouldnt let me see the starscan when I added my U-connect so im interested in the different things it can do - decide whether it is worth it to me to buy one for myself..

esp since im thinking i may order a 2 door JK also to have to play around with.

I heard that the dealer can manually decrease the sensitivity of the ESP by adjusting something. See if this is possible please.

i think the star mobile cant do everything
its to free up the star scan tool when used with it in a busy shop
i could be wrong
anyone in florida have access to a star scan??
anyone can buy one for 4600.00 complete kit and that includes a year of updates
i think the updates after that are like a grand a year
its pocket change if you have a shop and use it daily

Ok so I got the update done.. The starscan tool is awesome..

Cant do drl's unless I can get the salescode for it from Chrysler.
I was able to disable the headlight 90 second delay, which I'm glad about.
you can change the country code to keep the foglights on with highbeams which I did not do. We couldn't find anything about changing the radio so you can have the DVD video work while the jeep is in motion.

I asked him about the star mobile and he said it is capable of doing the same thing as a starscan except it needs a host computer for updates, you cannot load them onto the starmobile itself. He did say that you can purchase software and the wire and use a windows laptop as a starscan, which he is actually in the midst of setting up for himself.

The dealership he works for has a bunch of starscans, almost 1 per service tech.

Hope I was able to answer everyones questions.
