HAMS.....Show Your Shack...!!!
Oh.......so you just borrowed your buddy's "man cave" and worked VHF with it?.......so your buddie isn't a HAM and it's not actually set up for HAM radio? I guess I just assumed it was used for HAM ops as I've seen a lot of them that are. That's why I called it a HAM Rover....qsl?
Either way...it sure looks like a cool little bus......

Branden, the mount is a Lido cup holder mount from cheapham.com

The radios chasis is mounted under the front passenger seat, the mounting bracket is zip tied to the bottom of the seat springs and is quite sturdy....Heat has not been a problem thus far even on the high power setting..

It just tucks down in there nice and snug if you look just forward of the rear site you can see a little of the holster....Never tried it there w/o the holster maybe it would fall on through w/o.....dunno
With so many new HAMs coming on board here since I posted this thread, I thought I would bump it up to see if there are any more new ones to post up??? Come on now......don't be shy.

well as with all hams the shack is always changing so here is what I got so far:
In the upper left hand corner is a CLEAR SPEACH speaker. On the shelf is my first transciever an Icom 706MKIIG all mode radio. On top of it is a cheap Radio Shack CB external speaker that is hooked to the 706. Next to that is a nice little Dentron Jr antenna tuner and a Kenwood SW2000 swr/power meter that are also hooked to the 706. On top of the tuner is a Signalink that is brand new and is not plugged in yet, but soon. Tigertronics out of Oregon is having a special on them this month. Good to shop local, kind of.
Then there is my new Ameritron remote antenna switch-RCS-10. Next is a really sweet big Dentron 1000 antenna tuner I got from my friend and elmer Larry W7WX. It is a great tuner. On top of that is the Ham M rotor control box.
On the desk is my main radio a very nice ICOM 746 PRO, with a CN-801 swr/power meter next to it. Then that BIG black box is my favorite thing- an Ameritron AL 80B amplifier..
The mic is an Audio Technica boom mic.
This all goes to my fan dipole that is on my roof up about 70' in the trees, it is a wire dipole with 80,40,20 and 10m legs.
But this week-end I am going to raise my newest toy, a TH455 crank-up tower. On it is will have for starters an A3S cushcraft beam antenna, witht eh 40m add on, and on top of that a 6m beam and on top of that a 2m beam.
I am going to build a 17m moxon antenna but that will be later. If you want to see more pictures and more about my tower and others you are welcome to visit my web site --- okcarc.org, there is a ton of information there on Ham radio stuff. So there it is, whew, I didnt know I had so much stuff till I wrote it down.
It seems like a lot and I will say I have talked around the world on it. I have talked to all 6 continents and to alot of places I never knew about.
