I didn't say that....you took it out of context. It was only to say that you haven't seen that I have tried to help CBers in other posts. But that right there pretty much says how you really feel about HAM radio ops. And I guess you just went ahead and lumped me in with all of them.
So I won't try and change your mind, as you've got it all figured out......

HAM'rs and CB'rs all suck.

Give me some tin cans and a piece of string.

Let's all hug and kiss now.

Aww, come on. Was just trying to lighten the mood. I'm from the generation that grew up with a built in CB radio and 8-track player. That Olds station wagon woodie with a 454 and rear facing 3rd row was awesome. (hadn't thought about that car in ages)

HAM is interesting to me. The first post about the Mrs. Being able to reach me or vice versa when I'm hunting almost kills the whole idea for me tho'. Heh

Haven't read through the whole thread, but how much $$ we talking for simple/basic 2m setups? Portable/battery and 12v?

Thanks. That's not near as bad as what I thought it'd be.

Of course you still need coax, antenna, and mount. That can add up too depending on what you go with.
