Keep me posted, I had mine apart about 10 times... It may be the hole you cut or just some little adjustment, if I can help I'll try.. Pay back for everyone that helped me. I have the Midland 75-822 handheld with the external antenna adaptor and have it hanging from the wiper arm from the strap it came with, I want to mount it on the dash but it has a belt clip instead of a braket that I can adapt to fit some of the set ups I've seen doone with the Cobra handheld unit...any suggestions will be appreciated it....

 

Did you get to look at Cool tech bracket. I ordered one today after I saw one. It's on their web site....
Easier then making one. It easy to hook up. I have a cobra and the midlland CB both are great for jeeps.

 

just installed my cooltech mount today, and is straight as an arrow . drilling the hole in the plate holder was def the hardest part. 2X recomendation on the cool tech antenna mount.
