Default JK - Emergency Communications Platform Project

Hi Folks

Here are some photos from my ECOMM project. This is for MARS/RACES/ARES application. Relocating from my Jeep Liberty to a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

Key Features:

- Full-Time Mobile Whip Antenna (Low Profile for garage entry in winter)
- Coax Switch for Mobile Whip or Antenna Tuner
- Class-3 Fiberglass Mast
- Mast Mounted Multi-Band Dipole 160-30
- Dual battery w/ AGM as Secondary
- APRS
- NVIS (Near Vertical Incident Skywave)
- ALE (Automatic Link Establishment)
- Digital Mode (SignalLink)
- MultiPolarized Super-M Antenna (25MHz – 1300MHz)

Exterior Whip Antenna (Chameleon Antenna CHA V1 3.5-30 MHz)

Thanks, it is a fun project.

Here is my winter antenna configuration. Issues include:

- Everything gets iced up, covered with snow, and has a coating of road salt.
- When it is -25 degrees F, it is very desirable to park in the garage and antenna system creates clearance issues.
- I avoid going into the cities (like the country better) as much as possible, but when I do the parking ramps has very low clearance.

I don't know what 90% of that stuff is, but damn that's impressive looking.

That looks very cool! I'd love have a setup like that in my Jeep... wouldn't know what to do with it but I could tell folks I got a ARES / MARS / other acronyms setup which would just be extra awesome lol

Is this something you have setup for work? Or more so personal use if there was (example) a natural disaster in your area.
