Haven't bought it yet but I'm looking at a cool tech package deal with the radio, gate mount and coax

Haven't touched a cb since I was a kid

I had about a foot extra. In through the license bracket, along the driver's side under the rear window, drop down under the rear seat, forward along the center hump, hang a right under the dash and end up behind the glove box.

I went all the way under rear seat under passenger trim. May have shorted me.

I'm going to be using a midland handheld

Cool tech is closed for a week of vacation so I can't ask them

It's a piece of cake. Don't sweat it. Instructions from cooltech are very clear.

Any suggestions on mounting cobra 75 mic holder onto versatile mount? Do I drill into versa mount, if so what size? The screws provided don't look self tapping

The Versamount from CoolTech, or Versamount2? The former goes behind the radio, the latter behind the passenger grab bar. Mine was drilled and came with a screw/nut combo to use instead of the screws that came with the CB bracket. Yours is not drilled?

Versamount 2010 jk, it is drilled for mounting through stock bolts to radio. I am asking about the cb mount for the cobra 75 do I have to drill through the exposed plate?

Huh, says on the site that the Versamount comes with no holes drilled (the Versamount2 is drilled). Didn't know that. So ... mark the hole locations using the CB hanger as a template, grab an appropriate bit and go to town. ;)
