Default Thanks

Thanks a lot for this thread, Installed mine this weekend. A couple of different options i used were...

Used the Flag mount from Quadratec, it gets mounted to the passenger side of the tire, made of aluminum instead of stainless, and only $36

Also was able to fish the antenna coax through the cloth casing on the door without too much trouble.

Everything else is about the same. Thanks again!!!

Default How long is the line from the mounted box to the passenger panel?

Was wondering how long the line was that runs from the box to the panel? I would like to complete the same set up but place the connection on the flat spot behind the shifter if possible. Your install looks great "nice and clean".

The first page of the instruction manual says 10-foot flexible cord... not sure if that's for the disconnect panel or not.

Maybe a dumb question here, but can I use a spring and a quick disconnect together with the antenna?

Looks like a clean install! Personally I like a spring on the antenna, the higher the antenna is, the better it works. I stuck a tennis ball on the antenna where it bumps the roof and its flexiable enough to go into my garage.

Yes you can use a spring and quick disconnect together.

Just be sure to check SWR again after adding/removing accessories since it changes the length of the antenna.
