Default Recieved CB today

Received CB today. Waiting on antenna and cables but decided to get it ready for install. I'll post pics when it's fully complete, but here it is for now.

Thanks to everyone on the forum who has helped me out

Today....mounted antenna

anyone know what the last thing is?? Didn't say anything on the directions - it also said use the longer bolts for the mount .... which I didn't even need. I also attached a quick disconnect... is this all I have to do as far as the antenna or am I missing something??

did you run a ground wire? and I think you use longer bolts when there are spacers to push the antenna off the carrier. I'm not 100% though I'm sure someone who has that bracket will chime in. It looks good thought buddy.

I think there is a good amount of space between the tire carrier and the antenna I have no problems with it All I did was connect the coax cable to the cb radio - and ran it under the carpet to the back and out the tire carrier. Is that enough?? haha I am such a NOOB, and as always jake thanks man. Going to a place tmrw to get it wired up hopefully I give up hahahah. And still don't know what that piece is !!

you should be fine. that mount typically gets a good ground at that spot but you can run into problems of dead spots in your hinge swing if you TX with your gate open. If you ahve funny problems with feed back and RF noise in your audio let us know and we can talk you through grounding the mount.

YMMV

That last picture is a spark plug and has nothing to do with the cb or antenna. Did it come with it or something?
