Well.. The mechanic was there most of the day and had no more luck than I did. I ended up selling the Jeep to his friend that showed up. I took a bit of beating on the price, but it's out of my hair now.

His computer was an Autel. I couldn't get/find the model number. It was not a starscan. It did have some nice features, like live data, and it talked CAN, and connected to almost any car.

Thanks for the help. If I ever hear from him, on how he fixed it, I'll post that, but I'm' not sure I'll see him again.
