Another Low Beam inop issue (can I jump from the left)
2015 JK, All stock lighting up to now.
passenger side low beam inop. Bought a new set of LED's from Quadratec and same problem. Checking wiring I found that I have 12 volts to the right pin in the factory harness left headlight connector with lights on low but zero on the right side connector comparable pin. I know the TIPM powers the headlights. Everything else works like it's supposed to....
BUT.
Will I hurt anything if I just jump the power from the left low beam wire across to the right side connector?

Probably, The CAN BUS probably will see excessive draw; not sure about this, but that system is sensitive. I'd run a code check and (I know its a long shot) look for possible rodent attack on wiring under the TIPM. Good Luck, update on your success.
Thanks for the replies.
I decided to dig around a bit more onstead of band aid fix. I removed the TIPM and the first thing I saw was a white/orange wire broken and hanging down. I knew from the schematics that was the wire. And beside that one was another wht/org wire on the next plug that was rubbed through with strands showing. When the TIPM was either installed or removed and pit back in the yahoo that did it just mashed wires in and they just rubbed and broke. Hard to splice in but got them in and shrink wrapped. Fired it up and now all lights back to normal.
And, there are no fuses for the headlights. TIPM takes care all that.
Thanks again for the input.

Wht/Org wires in two bundles appeared to be gnawed through.
Totally unrelated, but my daughter's Ford Focus has similar issue. We bought it like that and the yahoo before us did LED's jumping power from the passenger to trigger a relay to power both. It's frustrated me to no end for a couple years cuz there's relay chatter given the pulses. I simply have not had it in me to dig into this wiring mess on a car that is not a long term thing.....or rather I should say we're going to squeeze the last bit of life out of this thing. Your post makes me think I should give it one more try with a deeper inspection. I practically have a used car lot besides the jeep.....feels like I'm always having to troubleshoot or fix something
. Glad you got your issue fixed. I can attest....better to have it fixed properly than with a bandaid.
