I noticed that too, but I thought it was just because I was being blinded by the frickin blue light.

Uhmm... I'll stay away from that one Mr. Modulator...

I figure a nicely cut and strategically placed electrical tape will do the trick.

Thanks guys.

Well Happy- Looks like you dodged that one quite well...

...New bulb huh? lessor value- or wattage?
Sounds like a pain in the ass.
Or is it?

Thats a good idea too... I'll be more than happy to try that out, if someone can point me to a thread that sorta says how to get to it! The dash assembly is one thing I'm not fond of pulling apart. (My '81 pickup had a VERY dim dash from only 2 bulbs still working when I got rid of it)

I have no clue how to pop the dash apart to get that far, i would have to get the service manual out and read up on it.

That being said, i dont know if there is a lesser wattage bulb available (Manual says it is a "Type 74" i think that is a generic bulb)

I was simply brainstorming.

If anyone knows, i would be interested.

hmmm, well, once we figure out how to get to the thing, we could always just cut the wire and add a resistor in between (on the pos + lead)... i think that would work too. (wouldn't want to just cut it at that point, good to have some sort of indicator.
