Can anyone here verify if they have had any success disabling DRL on a 2017 Sahara that was made in Canada with the Procal or the Flashcal devices? I purchased the Jeep in the U.S. I brought my jeep to the dealer and they plugged in their device into my jeep but were unable to turn them off. Canada requires you have them on. The reason Im looking to do this is because of the flicker I get with my new LED Headlights. They work perfect except for Daytime when its in gear. So if anyone has successfully disabled them in a Canadian Jeep with either of these two devices please let me know. Thank you.
not sure if I know what you mean by a programmer but we have a snap on scanner. It does not give any option for the headlights. But it is a Canadian Jeep and our DRL flicker since we changed our headlights but my cousin has a American made Jeep with the exact same headlights and his does not flicker.
I don't believe this is a Canadian vs US thing. Not all jeeps came with DRL. My 2013 sport didn't have DRLs, but all my buddies with Rubis did. Regardless, a simple programmer like Jcan app on your phone with a blutooth dongle, or any other "programmer" will be able to disable the DRL feature and cure your ills.

His is equipped with DRL also but I will try the programmer. Do you happen to have a link so I know I am purchasing the correct thing?
Here is a nice link to the Jscan app features -

So this is just an app that you download on your phone. A license costs $20 per VIN, and you need a little dongle you plug into your OBDII port (~$15-25). I will say though, for the price you get a lot in this app. I think the easiest solution for you is to simply turn off the DRL, or set it so it's fog light only, but I'm not clear if no DRL is acceptable to you or if you are really wanting the DRL to just work. Looking at their site, and under their DRL link, it does hint at a Canadian DRL....and I realize I misinterpreted one of your previous messages in that the cousin HAD DRLs and the lights didn't flicker. I think I originally thought they DIDN'T have DRL but that wasn't mentioned.
If you are interested in that app (no affiliation), there is a list of OBDII dongles that it works fine with.
