Diy spod
I cant afford and spod so I am looking for an alternative and found the DBOX. I do not know much about wiring lights at all. The only the thing that looks different to me is the small inline fuse and could that be changed. Here are the videos. Part 1 & 2

There are simpler alternatives to completely fabricating your own SPOD, especially if wiring isn't your "thing".
First, what accessories do you need to control? How many accessories are you likely to add? How much power will these accessories draw?
If you're only considering 1 or 2 accessories that don't require a lot of power, it may be easier to either tap into existing slots in your fuse box or to run single lines from your battery with in-line fuses. If you're thinking about 3-6 accessories, the easiest/cheapest solution may be to get a fuse box from a junker car and mount it under the hood and use the existing circuitry and fuses in that box (but you'll need to connect to your switches in the cab).
If you want to fabricate your own box and learn how to wire switches, bobholthaus had a very nice write-up: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-e...-mount-263893/
I followed his lead and did a somewhat similar box using a Blue Sea fuse box that you can get from West Marine or Amazon, and wired to a RR A-pillar switch module with OTRATTW switches (Jim and OTRATTW are the best!), but you could use other switch options. There are lots of options and lots of people on this forum who are really good at this stuff; all you have to do is ask.
