ESP BAS warning Light

that is the TSB I am talking about, it caused a lot of different issues, but if your Jeep is newer, it may already have the new software. I would bet it's a bad sensor somewhere.

I would try another dealer or ask to speak to the manager, you paid for a new rig and it should work as designed.... keep going back, or try another dealer, or try to get the managers involved, call Chrysler if need be, just hound them until they fix it! but i'd try another dealer if there is one near by, I have already marked 2 dealers off my list to do ANY type of service from...
Good luck man keep us posted, but something isn't right, and they need to fix it.

I have almost ran off the road or into oncoming traffic multiple times due to the ESP coming on when I am in slow (<30 mph) mountain roads and also on freeway on ramps. I just got back from a road trip through Yosemite and down Route 1 on the coast, and I didn't feel comfortable with the system activating when I was on the edge of 500' drop cliffs, so I dug out the manual and looked for a fuse to pull.
I believe there are 2 fuses that deal with the ESP system J6 & J7. I pulled fuse J7 because I couldn't pull J6 due to it being too close to other fuses. The ESP system was deactivated and, of course, you get the warning lights on the dash. Another result is that this is the same fuse that also is used with the ABS, so you lose that also. The most unfortunate result is that you lose your speedometer. That was not a big deal to me, as I have a PC in the dash with speed display from the GPS. There will also be a few more items that don't work on the computer display, but that is obvious. Drive ability wise, everything works fine, as I drove hundreds of miles with the fuse pulled.
One other IMPORTANT note is that the JK DOES NOT CLOCK MILEAGE on the odometer when this fuse is removed!!! Funny, I thought this was supposed to be the most difficult thing to do do your vehicle. I verified that the odometer does not catch up when the fuse is put back. FREE EXTENDED WARRANTY! That is if you want to use an alternate means of speed display and not have ESP/BAS/ABS.
I plan on putting a switch on the steering wheel sensor so maybe it will only disable the ESP. I could flip that whenever I am on a mountain road to disable the system.
Why DC won't allow us a full disable in 2wd is beyond me. It's ridiculous to have a so called "safety system" become so dangerous when it falsely assumes the vehicle is going to roll. I plan on writing a registered letter to myself, my attorney and to DC explaining the safety implications of this system. I encourage others to do the same and maybe they will release a flash to let us turn it off fully in 2wd. Otherwise, if someone gets hurt when this system falsely activates, we can prove they had knowledge of this problem in advance. It's not the lift and tires that are unsafe and caused the accident, but there so called "safety" system.

Add another to the list. I installed lift and tires over the weekend and of course when I went for a test drive the lights were on. I had corrected the steering wheel postition so I got to looking at other things. Turns out I had dropped the rear axle too far when installing the coil springs and broken the two wires to the sensor on the passenger rear. I repaired that and the lights went away.
Yesterday we had a club meeting and then wheeled for a bit afterward. I noticed after getting back on the road the the lights were on again and figured it was due to the steering wheel being slightly misaligned after everything settling in. Last night I straightened the wheel again but this morning the lights are still on. We didn't hit a lot of mud but I'll check the sensors. I'm also going to try the lock to lock trick and see if that works. Sounds like the clocking spring is the most consistent culprit though.

No lift or tires at all on my JK. I have had the BAS ESP light come on 4 times or so. It was on the list of things to fix when I took my Jeep to the dealer. They did nothing because they "could not duplicate." What a stupid policy. So, I am supposed to drive to the dealer immediately if the light comes on? They also would not perform the Stall Bug flash because my vehicle was built after the recall period even though I had all of my dash lights come on when I was driving (I don't think it stalled though).
Is this the TSB fix?

Is this the same one for the stall bug? I had the stall bug and got the TSB done to reflash it. That fixed my stall bug but tonight I got the ESP / BAS light come on constant.
So if the flash has already been done I'm thinking its the spring? Here's the odd thing..I was playing with the interior lights!
I was making the interior lights and dash lights go high and then low because I actually tripped the interior lights to come on while they were supposed to be off or dim, By going from the bright to off setting the interior lights popped on for a split second, almost by accident, it was such a quick flash I thought I blew the bulb!
So I was going though the total range of the interior lights (on, bright dash lights...dim dash lights, off) and then while having the dash the dimmest you can get them and the interior light off, I made a left turn and DING..ESP / BAS light comes on.
What the hell is this?! I pull over, turn the jeep off, turn it back on and the ESP /BAS stay on.
What the hell? I drive down the road and pull back over almost in shock. I then shutdown, restart the jeep again, go into neutral, go into 4 hi, 4 low and back to 2WD.
I start thinking well that's weird...now here's the funky part. I then think (wait I was playing with the interior lights) so I then go from the dimmest setting to the brightest setting for the dash lights and BAM off goes the light. Next I try recreating it to come on and couldn't do it.
So if any of you could play with your interior lights / dash lights while that light is on I'd be interested to see if it kicks the light off for you too. I'm thinking it was either due to the time (15 to 20 minutes and just crap luck that I hit that light switch at the same time the light would come off) or it's an electrical gremlin.
I know I DIDNT touch the steering wheel while turning the light OFF. But like I said I was making a left hand turn when the light came on and stayed on (while my dash was on the darkest setting)
Odd and I'll keep an eye on it again. If it happens twice I'll be bringing it in to the dealership.

ESP Light coming on everytime I take a turn. Taking the jeep over and having to control it until the light kicks off. Has since I bought it. So far.. I have had to have my wiring harness replaced and another braking recall fixed. I thought by fixing that recall would fix the freaking ESP from engaging, but I was wrong.
So yesterday .. making a right turn on a freeway on ramp. the ESP starts blinking and takes over the jeep. (as usual) then for the first time . .the idiot ESP BAS light comes on and stays on. All power was zapped from there until I got home. After waiting a few . I restarted, and after driving about a mile .. both lights went off. This is really starting to piss me off and the dealer can't reproduce the problem.
I think I will just go down and take him for the death turn myself, so he can see and feel it.
