Default Factory amp

Im sure this has been answered a million times before, BUT i want to install a new head unit in my 07 JK and the guys at best buy list a wiring harness for jk's with a factory amp and without a factory amp and everywhere i look online points that there is an amp installed. So what im trying to ask I guess is Do all the JK's with 6 speakers from the factory come with a factory amp installed? THANKS!!!!

I dont think all JK have a amp installed, I could be wrong though. If there is a Amp installed in my JK, I have serious issues with my sound system....LOL

No, they don't.

It's like browsing through the Mopar accessories catalog where they show all Jeeps as Rubicon's with half doors when we know that's not reality.

ok so if they all dont come with one, how do i find out if mine has one? Take out the OEM stereo?

Actually found out where the factory amp is supposed to be at. It is installed under the dash directly below the steering column in case anybody was wondering.

Yup that's def where it is. I replaced mine with the dodge nitro amp. Sold the old one. It's a good upgrade if you don't want the full blown new amp setup.

I did this in my 07 JKU and it did work much better than the Jeep one but there is no confirmation that it works with 12 or above.....or else i would have replaced mine again.
