ok so im driving to drop some stuff off for work, its raining so i have the wipers going. about halfway there i notice they arent going anymore. i tried all the positions on the column and nothing. so i pull over and check my fuses: all good. then i turn the engine off and let it sit a few minutes: no luck. so then i disconnect the battery for a bit and still no wiper action. the back one works fine but the front ones just died. had it checked by a local shop and they say there is no power going to the wiper motor but they cant figure out why and tell me to take it to the stealership. any ideas??? its a 2dr 07 auto x by the way

 

Ok so the stealership wants to charge me 250 for a new wiper motor and install....no thanks I just ordered it from a local part store for 100 and will prolly install myself.

 

For those following along...after 3 wiper motors and a new switch they figured out it was the tipm module. So they replaced it and reflashed the computer and now everythings golden. My mpg reader actually works now too so 2 birds with one stone!

Yeah I forgot to add the dealership gave me a $40 gas card and a bill for ZERO dollars. They were gonna reimburse me for the motor I bought but I told em I can just return it and get a refund. It sure is nice to have working wipers again...

 

apparently stealership wasn't accurate in this case.

 

if it wasnt gettin power to the motor i wouldnt have bought a new motor...but looks like it worked out for ya

 

Yeah I bought one and had it installed then the dealer replaced it twice.
