Default Help please.

So all of a sudden my jeep has electrical gremlins and idk how to fix it. First my front passenger low beam doesn't work unless I mess with behind the light which doesn't make sense and my horn stopped working all together. I'm also getting codes from my flashpaq for my front turn signals but they are working. What is going on and how do I fix it. It all happened all of a sudden. Thanks in advance. I've got no idea where to start. Fuses all look good too💩

Sounds like it might be a bad clock spring.

Are you the original owner? I just got a notice in the mail that there's a clock spring recall taking place but I'm not sure which years are affected.

If you're not the original owner or if your jeep is not affected by the recall, the clock spring is very easy to replace and there are numerous write ups on this and other forums featuring step-by-step instructions on how to replace the clock spring.

Ok I know my clock spring is bad. I am the original owner but I never received the notice. It's an 09. Also I don't know how it could be the clocks spring when it does work intermittently.

You've got all original bulbs, right? None of those LED bulbs that cause errors??

What are the exact codes given by the superchips? It's pretty good about spelling out the clockspring and intermittent issues with that are not uncommon.

Additionally- your battery connections are tight and grounds look clean?

So your clock spring is bad but you don't think that's the issue? If your horn doesn't work and your battery, terminals, connections, fuses, and horn assembly are all good, it's probably your clock spring...
Seeing as how you're having other issues on the stems from the center of the steering wheel, it'd make sense if those issues are also caused by a faulty or about-to-be-faulty clock spring.

Ok I guess it's finally caused more issues then. At first it was just the air bag. But I didn't realize the scope of how much that stupid ribbon of wires i.e. Clock spring could cause so many issues. Does anyone know how I can go about finding out if mine is covered under warentee or recall? I'm the original owner and it's an 09 and do you think they'll deny due to mods and actually treating the jeep like a jeep

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is recalling around 500,000 Jeep Wranglers because of faulty steering wheel components that could prevent the airbag from deploying in the event of a crash. The automaker said on Wednesday that 498,985 2007 to 2010 model year Wranglers are affected by the recall. In the U.S., 392,464 vehicles are affected while another 7,435 vehicles from the 2011 to 2016 model years that are right hand drive and made for special duties are also part of the recall.
