well, the relay is definitely bad... sorry to waste yalls time! but I could say I have learned something from it all.

I will probably order a few relays and push button halo switches. (like these) http://www.amazon.com/Black-Push-But...EYJD2JDD6SSZTQ

couple questions
My future plans are to run 3 sets of lights. All maybes.. but I am thinking something like a short light bar on my bull bar, two cubes on a pillar by mirrors, and some sort of backup lighting.

how would most go about wiring these? i like those switches. i would need 3 separate relays right? i know i shouldnt run all these wires to the battery so what is the cleanest most professional wire job? what things to people buy to accommodate all these accessory wiring? all tips appreciated!

sPod is the best-cleanest way to go.

Like Eddie said the sPod is the cleanest, quickest but it is not cheap. It does have a few quirks but nothing you can't work around...

You can wire up each switch individually like this...

...or you can build your own sPod type setup like this...

Oh and welcome!

Edit: This is how I added 3 switches in my YJ...

The fuse box was $11 bucks at Advanced.

If the existing foglight circuit is PWM then you will need to add a capacitor accross the relay coil terminals 85/86 or it will burn up. When you had the lights on did you hear a chattering sound? I did custom headlight harness for my cibie lights and they required one which i picked up at radio shack. PN#272-1016 100uF 35v

As far as connecting aux devices there are a lot of good options for my JK i built a bussman RTMR panel that gives me 5 relays and 5 constant powered fuses. Very easy to install and use with a single connection to the battery and a nice sealed WP box to house the fuses and relays.

I am not sure if its PWM. No clue what that is either. But none the less. I did not hear a chatter coming from the Lights. Only heard the HID buzz or whine til they warmed up.

I like the sounds of that RTMR panel though!

Well, since I have given up on the HID fogs. What are some suggestions on LED light bars and cubes? Think those will wire up more easily?

I am starting with two 3x3s taking 18w to power at the bottom of windshield.

PWM is more or less the Jeep canbus turning the power on and off really quickly which causes the cool in the relay to burn up adding the capacitor across the oil keeps the relay energized through the off cycles. I really like the bus man panel, I first saw it on a landcruiser forum but have since seen it floating around on the jeep forums. It is rated for 80a, 35a rated relays, with a max fuse size of 30a. The way I have mine set up is batter connections and a #12 wire to my six accessory and a #14 wire from my switch to trigger the relay. I do switch the hot but I believe that you could configure it to switch the negative if you wanted to. They are priced pretty good overall but it isn't as cost effective to build one because of the minimum order quality on the crimp connectors and the cable seals. I bought enough to build two with the proper crumpets for about 150.00. If you would like to see any other pictures or want any other info on them left me know

Absolutely! Yah i found a thread very easily on here about using that busman panel. It will be a lot for an electrical newb to handle. But i enjoy this stuff so I will probably be planning this all out very soon.
I would appreciate any tips from you on this situation other than whats in that thread. If you got em!
Also, when you say "leavin the switch hot vs running it negative" whats the difference? What are the pros n cons of either?
