Default iPhone 2.0 and uConnect

Hey Guys

Just a heads up. If you are trying to use an iPhone with 2.0 software on it, you probably won't have much luck with uConnect. It will pair fine, but then will fail to connect for calls.

I read through a support form on Apple.com and saw that DC and Apple are both aware of the problem. Apparently Apple provided developers with early version of the 2.0 software, but DC never tested it.

So now we have to wait until August and get out uConnect modules reflashed to allow for proper functionality. I'm curious if DC will issue a TSB so that the garage will do it for free.

Good to hear that some people aren't having problems, however on the forum linked to below, lots of people are having problems. Maybe it is just with an older version of the uConnect. I don't have my iPhone yet so I can't tell for certain.

My V1 iphone was working fine till I updated to 2.0. I took it back to Apple and they replaced it with a new phone with 1.1.4 and told me not to update until they fix the bugs in 2.0.

Both mine and my wife's 1st Generation iPhones worked great with UConnect, then came the upgrade, now it's spotty on hers and not working at all on mine. It paired up but is not connected. Come on with the 2.0.1

Just got back from getting my girl friend a new iPhone 3G. It synced up without issue but refused to allow any calls. It also won't let me charge it from the iPod connector. However it did appear that I would be able to play music from it.
