FYI - I changed the backup lights to Luxeon LEDs and there's a big difference. The stock ones didn't do much, but the new LEDs light things up pretty good. And if I want more, I have two work lights I can also turn on. :-)

The backup replacement bulbs I installed have just a single LED, but it's a really bright one! :-) Here's a pic...

Not sure what It has to do with Europe?, Never understood why the Americans call clear lights Euro style lights, I don’t know of a European Car that comes with clear light in the back . It’s more of a Japanese trend.

I would take the black ones but would not work with my European JK tail light set up. Blinker is independent of the brake light.

Who sells this bulb replacement? My problem with LED lights is the amount of lumens(light output) has always been poor compared to a filament bulb.

If you really wanted them I'm sure there is a way you would be able to wire them up. Even if your current brake and blinker are independent.

It's really not needed to wire in a resistor when adding LED lights. All you need to do is change your flasher unit which compensates for the low draw in power.
