So ever since I installed update my nav is showing me in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.....somewhere near Cuba. Any ideas how to reset the Nav system?

Did you reset your home state location? Also, did you you check your menu and see how many GPS satellites you are receiving? Any chance you removed you removed your stereo and have a loose wire?

Mine once had me consistently 30 miles or so from where I was......left it alone for a few hours and it corrected itself. If it were me, I'd check what I listed above, then unplug the battery for 15 mins or so.....let it reset.

Crossing my fingers for you.

Here is a fix for the "driving backwards bug" resetting the calibration of the GPS.

I needed to do this every once in a while before the v2 update. So far I haven't needed to since the update. Fingers crossed :-) It may be one of the bug fixes.

I did not try this in V2 yet.... I was very successful in previous versions though.

I just thought it may help you...

===================
OK First off the MyGIG engineering menu is a dangerous place...

Please be VERY careful when using this menu.

To access the Engineering Menu of your MyGIG:

Press the 3 Hard Keys on the front of the unit all at the same time : SEEK UP / SEEK DOWN / MENU

Once done correctly you should see a screen that looks like this..

Press page down on the screen till you get to page 4 of 5

Press the Nav Debug Menu button on the screen and you will get a blank option screen.... Press the page up button on the screen three times till you see a new option Reset Calibration is seen

Press the Reset Calibration button on the screen and the button changes over to Calibration has been reset

Now just keep hitting the big left facing arrow in the upper left hand corner of the screen till you get back to the normal radio screen and the NAV should show you driving in the right direction again.

If the satellite count continues to be low, you may have to do this again etc...

Sorry for the cell phone pics ...
=================

Good luck!

Hey, I really like this new version.

I had asked for something to show that my phone was connected and this version has it! Awesome.

Faster maneuverability also.

Great job! Every version gets better!

I think if you just remove the fuse it will also reset.

Mine froze after the update and wouldnt eject or turn on at all....just removed the fuse under hood....and viola......back to normal!

Now if I can just get it to download my phonebook from my Blackberry Curve...I will be all set!
