Hi Scott......
I have a RER with s/w 2.402 installed.
Currently I have a Moto RAZR phone paired and it works great.

I want to upgrade to the Iphone4S or Iphone5.
I understand that the 2.402 will work ok with the Iphone4 but will it work with the Iphone4S??

Will 2.402 work with the Iphone5 or will I have to go to a higher s/w version in teh MyGig??

How about the Apple s/w version??

Sorry, I wish I could give you a answer for all three of those questions. But I can't I don't use any apple products. I would not hold your breath on any future updates for the MyGig they are phasing this unit out. The latest version is.2.403..

I have the garmin 430n I think? My 4S isn't even recognized since its last update. All the Bluetooth stuff works fine though.

This update does not apply to the Garmin based unit. In fact it's not in the same balpark it's made by a completely different manufacture.

FWIW the 2009 RER in my 2007 JK had 2.402 on it and my wife's iPhone 4S worked fine from ~IOS 5 up through 6.13. I also had an '08 Caravan with the same RER and version (2.402) which also worked fine. The Caravan was just traded for an '08 Durango to which I also added a RER (Yes, that is 3 for those paying attention ), and it got 2.403 (as mentioned here) and the JK was also upgraded to 2.403. In the meantime, not long before the trade, my BB was swapped for an iPhone 5. The 5 had IOS 6.01 (I think ) which also worked with 2.402, then IOS 6.12 and 6.13 after I had swapped to 2.403 and both iPhones still work fine.

So to recap:
RER 2.402 - iPhone 4S check
RER 2.402 - iphone 5 check
RER 2.403 -iPhone 4S check
RER 2.403 - iPhone 5 check

...up to IOS 6.13... I should also mention that neither phone is jailbroken...

This of course based on my own experience using the updates as described here. I guarantee nothing

Not sure, I imagine they would if it comes out as I have had no issues so far. But as whpony96 says, don't hold your breath for any more versions:

Version 2.403 is a Bad Version, replaced by 2.404....DON'T load 2.403 as it isn't a stable Update. Anytime their are 3 Version numbers with numbers in a row like this, usually means the 2nd number of version was BAD...

It's been out for a little while......i downloaded it Jan 12th 2013.....

I hope you aren't waiting on Chrysler to let you know of a Software Update.....It's just under 1/2 a Gig....

Well.....wonders never cease....for once things went my way.
I got the IPhone5 today and everything worked fine except the telephone numbers were not uploaded to the MyGig.
The names were....but not the numbers.
The MG s/w is 2.402 and the IP5 is 6.0.2 (I see that 6.0.3 is available now)

Looking at the MG folders....they are all empty except the folder with the assigned phone name.
This folder had the names but no phone numbers.

It turns out that the previous phone (Moto RAZR) (which phonebook was uplded to the IP5) had the numbers assigned to the 'other' class.
I made a couple of test edits in the IP5 and changed the number placement from 'other' to 'mobile'.
Then uploaded again and the phone numbers now correlate in the folder.
Now....I can push the phone button on the MG, shout the persons name and it dials out like it should.

If anyone else is reading this that can not dial out on the MG without manually placing the call from the IP5.....this is your fix.
Change the telephone number in the contact from where ever it is now to mobile then shut the vehicle off....open the door and wait a couple of minuites, then start it and wait for the upload....should be good.
