Default power window problem, any had this happen??

Well i just had peoblem with my power windows, my front windows wouldnt come down at all, it just happened right now and im posting thru my phone. I flipped thru the owners manual thinking it may have been a fuse but couldnt any info. The wierd part is only the front windows wouuldnt work, but i was able tolower the rear windows from the both the center stack and rear of the the console. But it fixed itself, i turned off my jeep and turned it back on and now they work......WTF. Anyone had this wierd problem or bug? i checked my wiring at the doors and all was fine. well gotta get back on the road

We had the EXACT same thing happen to us, twice actually. It has been a while since it happened, and we did not do anything to try to get it fixed. It just hasn't come back. Nice, eh?

I had the same thing happen a few times, I just shut the jeep off and restart. Always corrects itself, it must be a relay sticking.

I know you likely have not fooled with them but check your connections where the doors plug in under the dash , Had a very similar problem on my friends rubi and found a corroded pin on the passenger side that stopped both windows from working.
Good luck.

I too had it happen once, shut off the jeep and turned back on and it fixed it. Been fine so far.

Default Windows

I had this happen with 260 miles on my jeep. Same exact thing, front windows didn't work, back windows did, and then I turned it off and on again and they all worked fine. Hasn't happended again, but I only have 800 miles on my jeep and I don't drive it much.

Since shutting off the Jeep has solved the problem I wonder if its a interface problem with the computer... Beats me

Vehicles today are being designed by people who grew up on computers, instead of playing outside (not that there is anything wrong with that). They are used to having a "reboot" fix everything. Is it any wonder the most common fix for electrical control problems on the JK is a "reboot" of one form or another?
