Problem with radio
Well dropped the jeep off to have this fixed. It would not do it on demand. No surprise there. I told them it's an intermittant problem. And mentioned the service bulletin. As I feared/ expected, they simply did nothing. Bring it back when it's doing it.
Luckily this is a minor annoyance issue. It would be much worse if was catching fire suddenly, but I couldn't get it to ignite on service day.

I had a similar intermittant problem with my suburban power door locks and was told pretty much the same thing. I went away discruntled. I had brought it in twice and was told they couldn't fix it if it was working when I brought it in. A week later I got a call from GMC to see how my service call went. I gave them an earful. The next day I was called in and they replaced solinoids, switches, every thing that could have been causing the problem. My service guy was unbelievable from that point on. He even replaced things after the warranty was up.
I don't know if DC does follow up surveys, but that would be the time to let them know what you thought of your service.

I took mine in to the dealer yesterday and somehow the dealer managed to duplicate the problem. They said that they contacted Star Online or something and were told not to replace anything and that DCX is aware of the problem and is working to fix it, but they don't have a solution yet. It's not a big enough concern for me to really care, but at least they're working on it?
tcpatter, that is good to hear they are aware of it. That is half the problem most of the time. I don't think the communication is that great between the service guys at some dealers and DCX. Some dealers have it better than others but still, some are really lagging.
Chrysler has finally released a TSB to fix this problem (Jan 3, 2007)
It involves another flash to the vehicle computer, and in order to do this upgrade, they have to first perform the Nov 18 computer flash. So if you haven't had that flash yet, but are having radio problems, you will probably notice a small performance improvement from the Nov 18 flash.

I have an appointment to have mine done Tuesday
For those trying to replicate the problem, i could usually get a result (95% of the time) if my rpm's were up above 1500 pushed all four window switches down for a second then pushed them all up for a few seconds. The radio would usually cut out when i released the switches
