Question on adding an amp.

I agree with apeezee. IF you are using an aftermarket head unit and amp, hook that amp up and then run each channel to it's appropriate speaker. i would then disconnect the infinity amp. just unplug the wire harness (drivers side knee panel) after that go tell the stereo shop go f*** themselves.

Ditto! These shops will do anything for a buck.

I agree with them, if head unit is already in no adapter is needed. Have you decided on the mounting location? I put mine under the glove box. You will love the extra power!

I seen that some guys put a 4 channel amp in the same location as the 'infinity' amp (driver side knee panel) u just have to figure out the dimensions of the new aftermatket amp and how u would mount it. I wanna say the amp people r using is a polk.

Thanks for all the replies and the ideas. I love the idea of the amp under the glove box. I will also check into putting it in the factory amp location.
