Default Switches above mirror

Has anyone tried putting the Contura rocker switches (aka daystar switches) directly above the mirror. I looked at doing the daystar panel mod....but thought this might look cool.

That's where my cb is mounted. I don't see why the switches wouldn't look good there too.

Well, ordered some custom-ish Daystar rocker switches. I'll be taking the piece of plastic off to see how much room is up there. I'll update with pics.....

CB is there as well, but I would definitely use that location for switches if it were available!

if you get something like the off road engineering custom switch panel, you can mount it just about anywhere...

To the left of the steering wheel just above the speaker would proably be the easiest place to install one of these...

Or, you could install it just under the center console as shown.

Just behind the cup holders might work well too...

I have a Rock Hard Sport Cage and almost installed it here...

Heck, I even thought about installing it under the e-brake lever...

Being so small and light, you could easily install one on the plastic windshield header cover like this too...

Wired HDH would be another mount it anywhere option. $$ but having 8 programable switches is nice.

If you're careful with the cutting, it can come out pretty sharp. Then you have the switches up there out of the way, and it looks damn good.
I'm gonna pull the piece out tomorrow and do some measuring. If it looks like it won't fit I'm going to do the lower Daystar mod. I'm only going to have 3 switches, but if I do the daystar, I guess I'll need a 4th....hmmmmmm more mods hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

EDIT: This is not mine. It was simply found doing a google image search.

No problem. I had saved it with hopes of doing the same mod in the future.
