check your owner's manual. something like fasten seatbelt and unfasten 6 times within 10 secs of starting vehicle, shut it down, start again....something. i did it just like the manual said, and it works great.

Just note that this doesn't turn it off totally. You'll still get the chime if you aren't buckled in upon starting, but after that it goes away and the light on the dash stays.

Here are the steps to deactivate the chime.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, and
buckle the driver or front passenger seat belt.

2. Turn the ignition key to the ACCESSORY/RUN position
(engine does not need to be running), and wait for
the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.

3. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle
and then re-buckle the driver or front passenger seat belt
at least three times within 10 seconds, ending with the
seat belt buckled.

4. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position. A single
chime will sound to signify that you have successfully
completed the programming.

Yeah, like it bongs only once at you though! Nothing more than that. Fact is I never notice if it does chime the one time. This was the mod that hooked me to this forum. This and the door-locks one.
