This is a very subjective thing. I think many will recommend a spot pattern to minimize hood glare, but it will really come down to what you are looking to do. I have Hella 500&1000 Black Magic's all over the front of my rig, and love them. If I could afford the same number of Lightforce units, probably would have gone that route.

I agree, it is a subjective pick. Personally, I like the beam style on my windshield, they get out there and they don't give off too much glare from the hood.

I am running the HIDx (aka Rugged Ridge) 7" lights with the HIDx bracket. No glare and very bright.

I run Kc slimlights 6" long range up there and some 8" rally driving lights on the bumper and couldn't understand needing more and they dont drag down the electircal system. I would like to see a pair of lightforce in action since so many people have good things to say bout them, but I'm still a KC man through and through!!

Kc slimlights are bad ass. The customer service is fantastic if you ever have an issue. I had a relay die and a bulb blow out and I got a new relay and 3 bulbs free.

I'm using kc brackets too.
