Silver Strike painfully cheap build thread
Sat morning we got up and reinstalled my interior, relocated my cb and reinstalled my tire carrier. Also 505 had some high lift hood mounts by river raider that he wasn't using so I bolted that up and got my high lift out from under my rear seat for the winter!
Incredibly happy with the end results. We were growing tired of the constant wrenching so decided we'd go try out 505's new lockers!!!!

*Anywhere except in Kentucky.
Our weekend of wrenching and wheeling drew to a bittersweet end at 4 am Sunday morning as 505 departed and made his way back to VA. After church today I spent some solo time in the garage checked and re torqued all my suspension components to factory specs.
Also had a couple from a neighboring town come over to see about a trade plus cash for their trek top for my hardtop we installed it and put the doors on my rig and I was very disappointed with the fit and finish of the standard trek top it seemed cheaply built and fit loosely even though the top was only two weeks old. Now I see why they wanted to get a hardtop back so badly. I'd like to try a NX and see if the quality is any better. I also didn't like the idea of it not needing a windshield channel or a frame, at the end of the day I couldn't in clear conscious trade my hard top off even with a substantial amount of cash to sweeten the deal.

So today I wired my new rubicon locker up, I used a rigid wiring harness for a 20-30" led light bar, I sourced this through overland off-road. I wanted to use this harness as I had extremely good luck with their products in the past and it has a built in 40 amp relay. I bought the mopar locker harness repair kit for the pig tail to plug into the axle housing, and then soldered the two harnesses together.
The next issue was which switch to use, I don't have an spod or the cash to get one and the stock rigid switch leaves a little to be desired so I went to my local parts house and picked up a normally open toggle switch with a cover and an indicator light.
I wanted a nice looking install so I removed the factory change holder and built a panel out of a scrap piece of aluminum I had laying around, drilled a couple of holes, painted it with a color matched rattle can, then installed and wired my switch and indicator light. Because I'm a muscle car guy at heart I couldn't help and ad a little tribute to my favorite movie
Over all I'm extremely happy with the finished product! Now onto the rear gears and locker!

looks awesome!
have you found a write up for installing the lockers? or do you plan on writing up your own, detailed, picture heavy example....? just looking around for a good write up as I plan on doing this in due time.

Thanks man! I always plan on doing a big pic heavy detailed write up and always get wrapped up in the project, and forget. But It was literally as simple as buying the two wiring harnesses and soldering them together then it's just plug and play!

No the front is a rubi d44 I bought new from Dana, for the rear I went the cheap route and bought a used Detroit soft locker and 4.10 ring and pinion out of a 07 sport! Cheaped out here hope I don't regret it
