Two year circumnaviagtion of Africa in my 2007 JKUR - The Road Chose Me
You're brave man. This trip sounds incredible. I love that amidst all the drawbacks of social media and technology it can be used for the sharing of life experience, which has so much more intrinsic value that most of what the internet is used for.
Be safe, brother. Subd to keep hearing from you.

I think there is a fine line between brave and stupid, and sometimes I toe that line pretty closely!

I'm checking out the sights of Southern Burkina Faso which are stunning!
I can't believe nobody talks about these kinds of places!
Here are "Les Pics De Sindou" - natural sandstone formations. I had the whole place to myself so I wandered around for the morning:

Hi All,
I camped on the shored of Lake Tengrela in Burkina Faso.
THIS is the kind of campsite I dreamed of long before this trip began!
Massive baobab trees, hippos grunting near the Jeep and friendly locals!

Best campsite of the trip so far, hands down!

Hi Everyone,
I am still moving through Southern Burkina Faso, and visited the UNESCO-listed Ruins of Loropeni
Here's my campsite right next to the ruins:

Since then I buy a SIM in every country and use tethering off 3G. The SIM is about $1 (or less) and data is a few dollars per GB.
Speeds are massively fast - they have extremely good 3G infrastructure in most countries, but hardly anyone is using it.

Hi All,
Being treated like a wallet with legs can sometimes get the better of me.
At the famous Houses of Tiébélé in Southern Burkina Faso I had more than I can handle.

Read more about one of the major downsides to travel in West Africa: The Houses of Tiébélé and Greed | The Road Chose Me
On that note, it's time for another country!
