AIR DOWN to ?????
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't it also really depend on the size of your rim? It's got to be a ratio of rim/tire size to some extent doesn't it? Isn't it about volume?
I assume if you're running a 35" tire with an 18" rim you're going to run more pressure than a 15" rim.
I run my 35" tires at 12psi on the rocks with 15" rims with no bead locks. If I was running stock rims/tires, I would maybe run closer to 18-20lbs. .

I run 305x70x16 and in the dunes the tyres I bring them down to 8 psi and after the trip it is always back to 10/12 psi.

I usually run about 10-12 psi on my JK. 285/70/17's on the stock rims. In my old XJ with 33x12.5x15 Maxxis Big Hornson 15x8 rims I would run about 8 psi and you could hardly tell I aired them down and I never lost a bead.
Fine so I will keep going on this route ??
