Fun with a winch - what can I do?
So I just got a new winch and I'm looking for some fun. I'm wondering what you guys have done with your winches that they weren't designed for. Post your Stories and pics if you have them. Any new ideas I will openly accept also.
Here's my to do list so far:
-winch straight up a telephone pole
-winch down a tree
-zipline down the winch line
-winch down a wall
-break a lock with the winch
-tie dog with the winch line
-winch a person a small distance
(I'm used to dictating my activites based on the warning labels on products. The winch came with very few.)
-winch repel down a cliff and then winch back up

I winched out some stumps after hurricane Ike and have also winched trees up straight so they could be staked.
I also helped pull up a metal fence from my brother's backyard using some geometry and leverage.
That and of course pulling random auto projects around.
I do not condone using equipment outside it's designed purpose; do so at your own risk. (sorry, had to say that).

I heard a story of a guy lynching himself with his winch in shame after starting a dumbass thread on a Jeep blog. Maybe it is an urban myth.

You can always use it to play Tug of War
But I was gentle to my Jeep and took the uphill side...
