I used mine to hold a bush out of the way while I replaced an A/C unit at work. Not very fun but handy as hell!

Haha I this counts as winching a tree. But yes, it does look a little less exciting than first thought

I have pulled big shrubs out but the most fun was using the winch to pull Cat tracks into place...skidder chains onto the tires...skid logs out of the bush...and using it to lift logs for the cabin using a gin pole. I found an old British Army manual that had all kinds of interesting uses for a vehicle winch....I lost the cover but it had a title something like "Pioneering for Vehicle Winches" or some such thing....cool old book

You could hook it to the back bumper of the civic parked in front of you.

if you have a hardtop that coudl be a way to winch it off your Jeep, make a hoist and just attatch your winch line to the rope and hoist the top right off
